Extended Abstract
This session will explore the importance of taking intentional pauses during the workday to engage in breath practices that can reduce stress, boost focus, and enhance overall well-being. The demanding nature of the digital teaching environment often results in long hours at the screen, increased stress, and reduced physical activity. Attendees will learn breath techniques such as deep diaphragmatic breath, box breath, lion’s breath, alternate nostril breath, and bee breath.
Each practice will be explained, demonstrated, and discussed in terms of its specific benefits for stress management, mental clarity, and emotional regulation. The session will conclude with tips on integrating these practices into daily routines to create a more balanced, productive, and mindful work experience. Participants will leave with practical tools they can use for their own wellness and to share with their students.
