Charlie received his B.A. degree from Augustana College (now University) in Sioux Falls, SD, and his M.T.S. (Master of Theological Studies) from Harvard University. Charlie earned his Ed.D in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University.
Of his many academic interests, Charlie is particularly interested in how we can create social presence and connected learning opportunities in Virtual Learning spaces. His dissertation focuses on providing creative learning opportunities for global educators within social media platforms to help them learn about social presence and connected learning while experiencing it in that unconventional learning environment. He is working with educators from Egypt, Iraq, U.A.E., Algeria, and Tunis.
